Does this new exam and certification
replace any existing Azure exams?
Yes,
a replacement for AZ-203 is AZ-204: Developing Solutions for Microsoft Azure.
Microsoft made this update available starting on February 24, 2020.
When will the old Azure certification
competencies expire and when will the new requirements become valid?
The AZ-204 beta went live on February 24, 2020, with a 90-day
cooling-off period. If you're studying for the AZ-203, you'll have three months
(May 31, 2020) after the new version's official release to take the test. The
previous exam will then be discontinued.
