What qualifications are needed to receive the certification?

To earn a CSD, you must complete a minimum of five days of formal training instructed by a Scrum Alliance Registered Education Provider (REP) and a Scrum Alliance Authorized Instructor.

There are now two routes to CSD certification (detailed below). After completing a track, you will receive a notification asking you to accept your CSD license, and the CSD certification will be posted to your profile. You have two years to use your diploma.

Track 1

  • CSM program (2 days)
  • Technical course for CSD, which must contain code (3 days)

Track 2

  • Scrum CSD course overview (1 day)
  • Technical course for CSD, which must contain code (3 days)
  • Technical elective course for CSD (1 day)

You must demonstrate during your CSD course that you comprehend Scrum and Agile engineering processes by passing a CSD evaluation administered by the REP/instructor. To determine your level of understanding, the teacher may administer a quiz, or the evaluation may occur in a real-world class setting. When the REP or teacher uploads the student's data into our system, they are recommending them for certification.
